​​The Wedding Barn
Do you have floor plans for the barn?
  • Yes, we have floor plans for the barn and dimensions for the yard for ceremonies. Exact dimensions can be provided upon request. 
Can we rent the barn and not the house?
  • The Barn can be rented separately on Sundays and weekdays. It is possible, but it's unlikely to have a Friday or Saturday when the house is not booked, and we do not double book the property for the privacy of our guests. If a Friday or Saturday remains unbooked 30 days prior to the date, we would then make the barn available for individual booking. 
How long would we have to use the event space?
  • The event space is available for the entirety of the day or weekend you have booked it. 
Are there bathrooms in the barn?
  • There are no bathrooms in the barn. Portable restrooms and restroom trailers are available for rent by a local company called Drain Brain (607-583-3307). They come in a wide variety & range of comfort and prices. Wheelchair accessible units are also available. Guests who are not staying in the house must use portable restrooms.
Is smoking allowed in the barn or house?
  • Smoking is not is allowed in the barn or house. There are strict insurance policy regulations regarding this. It is the responsibility of the wedding party to ensure your guests comply with this rule. Failure to do so could affect your return deposit. Smoking is permitted on the premises away from the buildings.
Can we decorate the barn?
  • Of course! You can decorate any way you like as long as it's temporary, and is taken down after the event. If you'd like to leave string lights, flowers, etc. for other couples getting married, arrange that with Ron first. Also feel free to ask if we have any previous wedding decorations that you would like to use.
Is there air conditioning or some type of cooling system for the barn?
  • There is no air conditioning, but there are french doors on both sides of the second floor. Having these open has proven to keep the barn cool in some of the hottest weather. 
Do you allow candles in the barn?
  • No fire of any kind is permitted in or close to the barn, house, or out buildings.

The Victorian Home
​How many rooms are available?
  • There are seven rooms in total. six internal bedrooms, one loft, and one external bedroom. The external bedroom is a summer bungalow that can sleep one or two people. It has WIFI and a small refrigerator (does not have a bathroom or running water).
How many people can sleep in the house?
  • The house can sleep 12-14 people. 
What are the mattress sizes in each room?
  • The Bridal Sweet - King Sleigh Bed
  • The Sunrise Room - Queen size bed
  • The Butterfly Room - Queen size bed
  • The Main Floor Bedroom - Queen size bed
  • The Lavender Room - Full size bed
  • The Artist - Full size bed
  • Meditation Loft - Full size bed
  • The Love Shack - (Summer Bungalow) Queen size bed
Are there restrictions to using the grounds or pool?
  • The house, house bathrooms, pool and hot tub are restricted to guests who are staying in the house ONLY. The hot tub is not made for more than four people at a time. Any more can result in damage to the hot tub and a loss of deposit.

Ceremony Logistics
​Are we able to set up/break down the day before and the day after?
  • Most people check in on a Friday - The check-in to the house is at noon. On the day of check in you can be in the barn at noon decorating and setting up for the weekend. 
How do you typically handle trash for events?
  • We provide trash and recycling dumpsters which are close to the barn. You and your party are responsible for picking up all trash and recyclable materials and making sure it gets in its proper container.
Do we need to have any type of insurance for our wedding?
  • Yes, All parties are required to have wedding or event insurance. Wedding or event insurance is quite reasonable for the day. If you have "Home Owners" insurance you may already be covered for this (check with your insurance company for pricing).
What is the parking situation?
  • There is a private road and a large lighted parking lot for guests to the side of the barn, and separate parking in the driveway for guests staying in the house.
Is alcohol permitted on premises? 
  • Yes. I work with a number of different bars and restaurants who have their own liquor licenses who are indicated on the G&G vendor list. If you would like another bar or restaurant to handle the alcohol that's not a problem as long as they have their own permits for serving alcohol. You may also supply your own beer and wine without a licensed vendor as long as you have a wedding or event insurance that covers the liability. A good tip to know is that you may already have this type of liability insurance on your Home Owners Insurance. Ask your insurance agent.
What comes included in renting your facilities for the day? Are tents/chairs/tables/linens provided?
  • Chairs, tables, linens and tents are not included. Those can be rented at the rental companies that I have included on the website under “Preferred Vendors” or found through Sweet Bough Wedding Collective vendor registry.​ 
If we want a tent, do you provide the tent, or do we rent separately?
  • Outdoor tents must be rented separately.
Are there kitchen facilities for caterers?
  • The barn has a prep kitchen which has 2 refrigerators, freezer, running water, and a 3 bin commercial sink for rinsing dishes and silverware. There is no fire of any kind allowed in the barn - it’s from the 1870’s.  There is a separate entrance way to the prep kitchen for caterers which provides direct access to their cooking tent if they choose to have one.
Is there enough power for DJ's, music, lighting, etc?
  • Yes. I've spared no expense on the electrical. The barn has enough power for pretty much anything you might want to do.​​

Vendors
​Do you have an approved vendors list we must choose from?
  • I have compiled a list vendors I've partnered with in the past to make the process easier for you, but it is your choice whether you choose from the list or not. We are also members of the Sweet Bough Wedding Collective, a Finger Lakes based wedding vendor directory, and they have an extensive list of vetted local vendors.

Pricing/Cancellations/Refunds
​What is the price of the house and barn?
  • The weekend price (Friday to Sunday) for 2018 bookings is $7900, and 2019 weekend price is $8200. NYS Sales Tax of 8% will be added to these prices.  To reserve the dates that you would like, there is a non-refundable $1000 security deposit which will be returned after the event providing there are no damages.
Can we pay in installments?
  • Yes we encourage wedding parties to pay in two installments, timing of these installments can be discussed with Ron. 
Is there an additional charge to hold both the ceremony and reception here?
  • No. There is no additional charge.
How much is the security deposit? 
  • The deposit is $1000. It is due at the time of booking. It is non-refundable if you decide to cancel. If there are no damages to the property at the end of your stay - it is refunded (usually within 14 business days).
What happens if we cancel our event?
  • If a guest wishes to cancel their reservation, the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Depending on the length of time prior to the event there will be a cancellation fee. This cancellation fee is based on your rental total and is in effect immediately upon booking.
    • 56 days or less 100% of total
    • 84-57 days prior 75% of total
    • ​140-85 days prior 50% of total
